The parents of Joseph Ivimey are Charles Ivimey and Sarah Tilley who married in Ringwood on 6 Oct 1772 (IGI Batch no M150516). They had a daughter, Amey (or Amy), and who was living with them in 1841 (census) and is also listed with Joseph & 6 others as the children of Charles Ivimey and Sarah (IGI Batch no C069521). The date quoted for Joseph's birth is that generally given in the biographies. Sarah would appear to be the daughter of Thomas Tilley & Mary Amey who married on 22 May 1749 (IGI Batch nos M150561 & C 069521).

Josephs second wife, Ann Price nee Spence, had been married before and had three children one died young and then Ann, her daughter, died aged 21, Joseph wrote a memoir to this girl and she was addressed as Ann Price her name never changed. On his wife Ann's death it is written that her two sons were present - Joseph who is Joseph's son, and John Parr who is Joseph's daughter Ann's husband; their marriage is documented on Ancestry, I think its 1825 Middlesex, but I can't find them after that.
