NEW GLARUS/SANTA ANNA, CALIFORNIA - Shirley M. OJeda, aged 67, of Santa Anna, California, formerly New Glarus resident, passed way on Monday, April 16, 1990 at the Humana Hospital, Westminster, California. The former Shirley Mae (Sarbacker) was born August 26, 1922 in Green County, Widsconsin, the daughter of Anthony and Sophia (Luchsinger) Sarbacker.
Shirley was a graduate of New Glarus High School Class of 1940 anf had graduated from the University of Wisconsin Platteville and UW-Madison and had taught school for a number of years. She was an electronic assembler for Ford Aerospace Industries. Survivors include two brothers James (Marlene) Sarbacker, Bellevue and Harry (Wilma) Sarbacker, Columbus, Wisconsin; a sister Mrs. Louis (Eva) Genin of Bellevue; and many bieces and nephews. She was preceded n death ny her parents and a brother Irving. Private funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 22, 1990 at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Kenneth Klink officiating, with burial in the Swiss Church Cemetery, New Glarus. The Zentner-Beal Funeral Home is serving the family.

George Saula, 77, Grampian, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018, at Penn Highlands Healthcare in DuBois.
He was born December 31, 1940 in West Wilmerding, Pa., the son of the late Mike and Lois (Love) Saula. He was married to Dorothy Arlene (Argall) Saula. She survives in Grampian.
George is also survived by two daughters, Shani (Dane) Germuska of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Shara Hopkins of Clearfield, Pa.; three grandchildren, Shae and Danae Germuska and Drayven Hopkins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
George attended Turtle Creek High School. He was an Army veteran. He previously worked for Westinghouse Electric as a welder and was a maintenance foreman for Key Well Corp. and Cronomet Corp.
George was a car buff who enjoyed antiques, especially his 1930 Ford huckster truck.
In addition to his parents, George is also preceded in death by a brother, Norman Saula and sister, Margaret Defalco.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

TARPON SPRINGS, June 18 - (Special.) - Announcement has been made of the marriage Monday of Miss Adelaide Ball, daughter of Mrs. S. A. Ball of Tarpon Springs, and Chester William Sawyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Sawyer of Elfers. The couple were married in the parsonage of the First Methodist Church Monday, by the Rev. E. N. Philpot.
Miss Grace Powell was the bride's only attendant and George D Ball, half-brother of the bride, was best man. Mrs. Sawyer is a native of Tarpon Springs and was graduated from the local high school. The couple will continue to live in the area.

Chester W. "Jimmie" Sawyer, 83 of Tarpon Springs died Friday at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital. He moved to this area in 1938 from his native Elfers. He was a commercial fisherman and a member of First United Methodist Church of Tarpon Springs. He is survived by his wife, Adeline Ball; two daughters, Dorothy A Bronson of Tarpon Sprrings and Mary Olson of Elfers; three sisters, Alice Wambles, Hazel Jacobs, Carrie Mae South, all of Elfers; four grand children; and six great-grandchildren. MINERAL POINT - Ernest W. Schaaf, 74,a lifelong Mineral Point resident, died Monday (Jan. 22, 1973) in a Dodgeville Hospital after a brief illness. He married Ruth May in 1930 and they farmed in the area until retiring in 1963.
Surviving in Madison is a daughter, Rosemary Schaaf, 142 S. Hancock St.
Also surviving are his wife; three sons, Joseph, Mineral Pointand David and Kenneth, both of Janesville; four other daughters, Sister Ruth Schaff, Arroyouseco, N.M.; Mrs. James Argall, Mineral Point; Mrs. Patrick Murphy, Janesville; and Catherine Schaff, Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Judkins, Darlington; Ann Schaff, Mineral Point; and Mrs. G. McWilliams, Janesville; and 17 grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St Paul's Catholic Church. Friends may call after 3 p.m.today at Gorger Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 8 tonight.

JANESVILLE/MINERAL POINT - Frances Elizabeth Argall, of Janesville, WI, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Jan. 24, 1934, daughter of Ruth (May) and Ernest Schaaf, and was raised in rural Mineral Point, WI. She graduated from Mineral Point High School with the class of 1952. Fifty-one years ago, on Aug. 8, she married Jim Argall at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Mineral Point, and in the next ten years they were blessed with nine children. She worked alongside her husband in the bar and restaurant business at area establishments and also owned and operated the Sportsman Bar and the Royal Inn in Mineral Point. She retired to Janesville in 1986, where she continued to serve her much loved family that included 25 grandchildren, creating beautiful, happy, and forever cherished memories. She is survived by her husband, Jim; 9 children and 25 grandchildren: Dan and Amy of Cedarburg and their children: Brenna, Alyssa, Evan, Lacey, Claire, Jon and Bridgette; Denny and Carrie of Norfolk, VA, and their daughter, Marianne; Bill and Jill of Libertyville, IL, and their children, Ryan and Caroline; Greg and Becky Carey of Mineral Point and their children, Kimberly and Danny; John and Tammie Holzhuter of Janesville and their children: Jamie, Jared and Michaela; Kevin and Jill of Minneapolis, MN, and their son, Charlie; Kim and Joyce of Neenah and their children: Eric, Nick, Abby, Gabe, Amanda and Bruce; Craig of Madison; and Dave and Carly Zentmyer of Middleton and their children: Christina, Gregory and Julia. She is also survived by 3 brothers: Joe Schaaf, Dave (Joyce) Schaaf and Kenny (Bonnie) Schaaf; 4 sisters: Sister Ruth Mary, Mary Theresa (Pat) Murphy, Rosemary Schaaf, and Cathy (Al) Mayo; a brother-in-law, Alfred Argall; a sister-in-law, Roxie Pepper; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant sister, Mildred. Family and friends may call on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at GORGEN FUNERAL HOME, 310 Ridge St., Mineral Point, WI, where there will be a Rosary at 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, with visitation at 10:00 a.m., at ST. MARY'S & ST. PAUL'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Mineral Point. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery. Frances' greatest joy in life was her family. Her legacy of motherly love will never be forgotten.

Roy Schell, 48 Dies Suddenly
The Excelsior and Blue Rivers communities were stunned Tuesday by the sudden death of Roy Schell, prominent local trucker. Mr. Schell became seriously ill at his home in Excelsior at 1 a.m. and was rushed to Richland Center hospital, where he died of a heart attack within a few minutes.
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the Excelsior Evangelical United Brethren church. The Godager Funeral home in Blur River is in charge of arrangements.
Casket bearers will be Ed Stafford, Nels Peterson, Virtal Dyer, Frank Hennesey, Edw. O'Connor and Theo. Collins.
Mr. Schell, a life-long Excelsior resident, had operated a trucking business there for 27 years and had five trucks n the road hauling milk asnd livestock. He had suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized several months ago.
Surviving are his wife, Izetta; four sons, Jeryy, Blue River; Garry, Terry and Lonnie, all at home; a daughter, Judy, at home; three brothers, Harry, Blue River; John, Excelsior, and Louis, Cascade, Ia; two sisters, Mrs. Kellet McDowell, Cascade, Ia., and Mrs. Roy Brown, Blue River, and two grandchildren.
