DEATH: Died at her son's (ALFRED J ARGALL - 1733) house in Grass Valley, California. Death certificate gives the date of 8 September 1897.

OBITUARY: Obituary, September 10th 1897: DEATH of Mrs Argall. Mrs Elizabeth Argall, mother of Alfred Argall Sr, died at her son's house at an early hour yesterday morning. Mrs Argall came to Grass Valley a few weeks ago from San Jose where she had been living with another son, Dr F L Argall. Deceased was a widow and leaves a large family, some ten sons living in various parts of the world. She was a native of England, 77 years old. The funeral will take place at half past two tomorrow afternoon from the residence of Alfred Argall, Sr., on High Street.
