ARGALL - At St Breage Church, Sept 16, by the Rev. B Dexter, Mr Walter Sales of Leigh, Kent, to Emma Louise, only daughter of Wm Argall of Calibra cottage, Breage.
DEATH: Died in Childbirth. SALES - At Veryan, May 15th, Emma, wife of Mr Sales (and daughter of Wm. Argall, of Breage), aged 23.
Her death is recorded in the GRO indexes for the Truro Registration District in the June quarter of 1878 under reference 5c 106. She is listed as Emma Louisa Sales, aged 24.
OBITUARY: In the Royal Cornwall Gazette - Friday, 24 May 1878:
ODDS AND ENDS - I have, with much regret, to record the death of Mrs. Walter Sales (née Emma Louise Argall), who died at Veryan on the 15th inst., at the early age of 24 years. About 10 months ago, I noted the marriage at Breage of Miss Argall, only daughter of Mr. William Argall, to Mr. Walter Sales, of Leigh, Kent. She left Breage with her husband for Veryan, and her accouchment was close at hand, when, on the evening of the day named, she was taken suddenly ill, and died almost immediately, although previously in excellent health. Her death is naturally a severe blow to husband and parents, with whom she lived on the most affectionate terms, and it is also much felt by a large circle of friends whom she had won by her amiable and pleasant manner. In Breage and the surrounding districts Miss Argall was a popular favourite as a pianist and singer at rural entertainments, at which she often rendered good services for charitable purposes and in aid of literary, scientific and religious institutions. To quote the words of a well-known writer - "None knew her but to love and respect; none named her but to praise." The only possible consolation for the family and friends is that their loss is her gain.

DEATH OF MR E C ARGALL OF TRURO:
The funeral took place at Truro on Thursday of Mr Ernest Charles Argall, aged 70 of Blaenavon, Higher Moresk, Truro.
A service was conducted in Truro Castle Street Church, where Mr Argall had held almost every office open to a layman. Rev F H Prichard (chairman of Cornwall Methodist District) officiated, and in the course of a tribute to Mr Argall, described him as an earnest, devout and enthusiastic christian.
Mr Argall was a prominent Liberal, keenly interested in the League of Nations Union, and a member of Truro Chamber of Commerce. During the last war he served in the photographic section of the Air Force, and during the present war he served on the West Cornwall commitee of the Ministry of Information.
Mourners were: Messrs. W and C Argall (sons), Rev. F Argall, Messrs. Funeral services for Leland Argall of Mountain Home will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Kirby Home Funeral Chapel with Al Rosenwinkle, past reader of Christian Science Church, officiating. Burial will be private. Mr. Argall, 75, died Monday at his home.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at Kirby Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife Violet Rieser Argall, at home; three sons, Gordon Argall of Stockton, Mo., Glen Argall of Chicago, Ill., and Gerald Argall of Malaysia; one brother, Howard Argall of Marengo, Ill.; one sister, Ruth Augustine of Tucson, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Argall was a retired farmer who moved to Mountain Home from Harvard, Ill., in October 1962. He married Violet Reiser Jan. 14, 1930, at Crown Point, Ind. He was a former member of the Illinois Club. Mr. Argall was preceeded in death by his parents Elmore and Edna Shephard Argall and one brother.

Popular Couple Wed - Rees-Argall
A very pretty wedding, which created great local Interest, was solomnised by the pastor, Mr. Crossman at the Church of Christ, Lidcombe, on Saturday, June 2 when Miss Esther Argall, third eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Argall, of Lidcombe, was Joined in matrimony to Mr. William David Rees, second eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Rees, of Lidcombe.
The church was most tastefully and prettily decorated by girl friends of the bride, and was packed to overflowing. While awaiting the arrival of the bride, the choir sang "Until". Miss Ridley presided at the organ and Mr. W. Armstrong was the soloist, singing " O Perfect Love" while the register was being signed.
The bride was given away by her eldest brother Mr William Argall in the unavoidable absence of her father, looked a picture as she entered the church, having chosen a gown of ivory satin. Her veil of Brussels lace was held in place with a coronet of orange blossoms and she carried a shower bouquet of white roses with a touch of pink. She was attended by two bridesmaids Miss Kathleen

The reception was held at the home of the bride. The guests were greeted by the bride's mother, wearing a frock of brown and fawn and carrying a posy; she was assisted by the bridegroom's mother who chose a navy and white ensemble and carried a posy of red rosebuds.

DEATH: From sister Dionne on 22 June 2009:
Sad news, my brother, Gene, passed away on June 21 (2019) at 8:21 pm. He had had a small stroke in May the same day as Mom's fall, while visiting us all in Asheville. Then last Thursday he had another, major one. Spoke with my sister in law and the blood clot was in the worst place - brain stem! They did surgery to remove the clot, but he never regained consciousness. After doing many more tests, they found no brain activity. He was only alive due to the ventilator./life support. They removed life support at 2 pm. He passed at 8:21pm.
Although we had grown apart as we lived far from each other, we were close as children. He always had my back and vice versa. He and Donna made several trips to NC mainly to see his grandchildren and our Mom and we were getting close again. He was the class clown and quite the character. He sometimes rubbed people the wrong way (me included) but he had such a big heart and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Gene had a beautiful soul and treasured his family, his church and his fellow man. May he Rest In Peace.

OBITUARY: Eugene Paul Argall of Ishpeming, Michigan
April 23, 1945 - October 8, 2018
Eugene P. "Butch" Argall, age 73, longtime area resident passed away Tuesday October 8, 2018 at UP Health System Marquette while in the loving care of his family and hospital staff.
Eugene Was born on April 23, 1945 in Negaunee to the late Eugene and Betty (Lee) Argall. He grew up in the Negaunee area and was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Eugene loved driving truck, especially talking with his trucking buddies where he was better known as "Geno". He enjoyed camping, racing cars at the Sands Speedway and Thunder Valley, and NASCAR where he enjoyed taking trips to Michigan International Speedway for races.
Eugene is survived by his wife of 47 years Pauline (Linna) Argall, children: Brenda Argall, Brian Argall, Misty (Rick) Argall, Nathan (Stacie) Argall, Darin Argall, siblings: Victoria (Joe) Brady, Daniel (Sharon) Argall, Jeffery (Kathy) Argall, Debra (Dean) Luplow, grandchildren: Jessica Argall, Brian Argall, Kyle (Kim) Argall, Macie Morrison, Summer Argall, Nathan Jr. (Faith) Argall, Luke (Tianna Hugh) Argall, Amanda Argall, Ashleigh Aragll, Tiffany Argall, Justice Argall, Jazmen Argall, Sara Argall, Allen Argall, Leasa Clark, AJ Smith, great grandchildren: Miles Argall, Landen Argall, Tyler Argall, Landen Hall, Trinity Leeman. Eugene's family will greet relatives and friends at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Negaunee on Friday October 12, 2018 from 10:00am until the time of his Memorial Service at 11:00am. Pastor Steven J. Solberg will officiate the service. A potluck luncheon will follow the memorial service in the church hall. Interment will take place in the Negaunee Cemetery.

Eva was born June 12,1924 in Ishpeming to Sidney & Eva (Rollstone) Argall, was a graduate of Ishpeming High School, Class of 1942, and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of the Negaunee Housing Commission for many years and had managed the Negaunee Lakeview Apartments. She also had worked for many years as a bookkeeper for the accounting firm of Fleury & Singler, Ishpeming.
Mrs. Helgren was a member of the United Evangelical Covenant Church, Ishpeming, had served for many years as the church financial secretary and treasurer, and was a member of the Covenant Women. She enjoyed knitting and helped her husband build 2 family homes and their summer cottage at Little Shag Lake. She most enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her son Reverend Dr. Roger (Carol) Helgren of Ottawa, IL, her 5 grandchildren: Adam & Bonnie Erickson, Elizabeth, Sarah, & Marshall Helgren, her son-in-law, David E. Erickson of Ishpeming, her sister, Frances Sironen of Negaunee, numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herbert Helgren in 1983, her daughter, Ruth Erickson in 2003, 4 brothers: Sidney, Arnold, Eugene, & Richard Argall.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, Aug. 29,2005 at the United Evangelical Covenant Church in Ishpeming. Rev. Terry G. Cathcart will officiate and interment will be in the Negaunee Cemetery. The family will greet relatives & friends from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM at the church on Monday and at a reception following the service in the church hall.
